Kaiser Permanente

MyKP

Leading health care provider, Kaiser Permanente, established a goal in 2019— to connect more than 200,000 employees across 8 regions with vastly varying functions on a digital workplace of the future. This mission quickly escalated from forward-looking to critical as COVID-19 forced workers to reinvent the way they perform the most basic aspects of their jobs. Alongside a UX Director, Lead UX Designer, and Senior Designer, my role as Associate Creative Director was to imagine a solution that, from clinicians to IT professionals, supports collaboration, productivity, and engagement when employees need it most.

Designed to evolve for employee generations to come, MyKP provides users with a hyper-personalized experience that simply makes their jobs easier

MyKP Prototype

“This is far beyond anything we have given our employees in the past.”

Through deeply collaborative client workshops, guerilla user testing, and detailed sprint work, the team launched the multimillion-dollar phase 1 solution in Q4 of 2020. Post-launch the retained team began the next phase of user testing, feature enhancements, and started work on the first major integration— HRconnect.

Integrating complex HR systems and user flows means that users will be enabled to connect with their teams, track employee career journeys, and manage complex leave terms— all within the MyKP environment. MyKP continues to support users not only in their day-to-day work, but in their employee experience as well. 2022 planning is underway with sights set on the next integration.
